President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday condemned the violence at the Galle Face area earlier today.

“Strongly condemn the violent acts taking place by those inciting and participating, irrespective of political allegiances. Violence won’t solve the current problems,” President said in a tweet. “I request all citizens to remain calm and exercise restraint. I urge everyone to work together in solving this crisis,” he added.
