Health officials confirmed 21 COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 13,429.
Among the COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday were 16 persons over the age of 60 and five persons in the 30 to 59 age group. Zero deaths were confirmed from the below-30 age group.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, the over-60 age group accounts for 76.54% of the country’s COVID-19 deaths, while the 30 to 59 age group accounts for 22.3% of the fatalities and the under-30 age group accounts for 1.16% of the fatalities.
Epidemiology Unit data shows that 7,506 of the total fatalities are male and 5,923 are female.
15 COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday were male and six were female.
