Remember we said that last year I said no orange no purple cap but boom, Mali wanted you to take that, close enough, but I’ll take this any day (pointing to the IPL trophy). Guys, you’ve been fantastic.

At the start of the season we said we need to create history. You guys came up with the name, not me and you walked the talk. So, well done again. Brilliant.

We had a couple of challenges, we had to break the jinx of even year and Mumbai back-to-back, so we did both of that. That’s amazing and remember that, even year we chased, the odd year we bat first.

I have a lot to say but it’s been amazing. Just wanted to thank the support staff, the team. You guys have been amazing, worked tirelessly.

I can’t mention each and everyone’s name but everyone has been fantastic especially we had a couple of injuries, Chappy, Ashu, Big Shaun, where are you? You guys do amazing. I think you write a book on this season and make sure you put everything in it.

The franchise has been fantastic, I mentioned that the other day as well at dinner. They created an environment for us to relax and enjoy our cricket. They went out of their way. There are a lot of guys involved in that. I know because for more than six to eight months they have been planning this. These things don’t happen overnight, if you haven’t put that thought process. That’s why the franchise is unique because they do look after you. That’s why it’s called ‘One Family’. Thank you guys, thank you very much.

I am sure that everyone will have a few words to say but for me it’s been amazing. Just make sure to stay safe. There are a few guys who are going to travel tonight, we are going to miss you guys for the celebrations. But make sure you have a drink on the way. And the guys who are going into another bubble and having to play cricket, all the very best. Make sure that you look after yourself. Everyone has been fantastic.
