COVID-19 fatalities confirmed in a day dropped to one on Tuesday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll is 16,416.
The COVID-19 death confirmed by health officials on Tuesday was from the over-60 age group, which accounts for 76.28% of the total COVID-19 fatalities. The Epidemiology Unit states that 22.4% of the COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are between 30 and 59 years and 1.32% are below 30 years. A total of 9,258 COVID-19 deaths confirmed by health officials are male and 7,158 are female. The COVID-19 fatality confirmed on Tuesday was male.
