Inter-provincial travel restrictions will be strictly enforced until 21 October due to the public, bank and mercantile holidays on Tuesday and Wednesday and the upcoming long weekend.

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), instructions have been issued by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa for security forces to closely and strictly monitor vehicular movement at all provincial borders.

The decision was made at the Special Committee on COVID-19 Control held on Friday.
