Five COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed five COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 16,431.

All five deaths confirmed on Saturday were over 60 years and the over-60 age group accounts for 76.29% of the total COVID-19 deaths.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 22.39% of the COVID-19 deaths are from the 30 to 59 age group and 1.31% are from the under-30 age group.

A total of 9,266 COVID-19 deaths are male and 7,165 are female. Three COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were male and two were female.
