COVID-19 deaths reach new high of 186; total fatalities now at 6,790

The Director General of Health Services confirmed 186 COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 6,790.

The deaths confirmed on Wednesday consist of 147 persons over the age of 60, 35 persons between ages 30 and 59, and four persons below the age of 30.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 75.58% of the total fatalities are over the age of 60, 23.36% are between ages 30 and 59, and 1.06% are below the age of 30.

A total of 111 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and 75 were female. Of the country’s COVID-19 death toll, 3,921 are male and 2,869 are female.
