19 COVID-19 fatalities raise death toll to 13,875

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 13,875 after health officials confirmed 19 COVID-19 fatalities on Sunday.

11 COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Sunday were over 60 years and eight were between 30 and 59 years. Zero deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.47% of the country’s COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.35% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.18% of the fatalities are below 30 years.

Epidemiology Unit data shows that 7,746 fatalities are male and 6,129 fatalities are female. 13 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday were male and six were female.
