Health officials on Saturday confirmed 40 COVID-19 fatalities, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 13,059.
Among the COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday are 28 persons over the age of 60 and 11 persons in the 30 to 59 age group. One person below the age of 30 was also included in Saturday’s COVID-19 fatalities.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, the over-60 age group accounts for 76.45% of the country’s COVID-19 fatalities, while the 30 to 59 age group accounts for 22.39% of the fatalities and the under-30 age group accounts for 1.16% of the fatalities.
Epidemiology Unit data also shows that 7,282 fatalities are male and 5,777 fatalities are female. Of the COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Saturday, 22 were male and 18 were female.
