Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 14,614 after health officials confirmed 19 more fatalities on Saturday.
Sixteen fatalities confirmed on Saturday were over 60 years and three were between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.51% of the total fatalities are over 60 years, 22.33% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.16% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the total deaths, 8,191 fatalities are male, and 6,423 fatalities are female. Thirteen fatalities confirmed on Saturday were male and six were female.
