Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 14,127 with health officials confirming 19 fatalities on Saturday.
This includes 11 persons over 60 years and eight persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group, which accounts for 1.18% of the total fatalities.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.55% of the total fatalities are over 60 years and 22.27% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years.
Of the total fatalities, 7,897 are male and 6,230 are female. Twelve COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Saturday were male and seven were female.
