The country’s COVID-19 immunisation program on Sunday administered the first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to 117,905 persons.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 11,879,851 persons in the country have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 4,616,266 persons have received both doses.
Sri Lanka yesterday received a batch of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and the Epidemiology Unit states that the first dose of Pfizer has been administered to 252,290 persons and the second dose to 31,605 persons.
This includes persons vaccinated on Sunday, of which 61 persons received the first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and 4,697 persons received the second dose of the vaccine.
On Sunday, 27,016 persons received the first dose of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine and 83,518 persons received the second dose of the vaccine. In total, the first dose of Sinopharm has been administered to 9,407,204 persons and the second dose to 3,698,303 persons.
The first dose of AstraZeneca was administered to 2,204 persons on Sunday and 409 persons received the second dose of the vaccine on Sunday. The first dose of the vaccine has been administered to a total of 1,295,835 persons and the second dose to 871,841 persons.
The Epidemiology Unit adds that 159,081 persons have received the first dose of Sputnik V and 14,517 persons have received the second dose of Sputnik V.
In addition to this, the first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine has been administered to 765,441 persons.
