Health authorities yesterday confirmed two more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 154.

According to the Department of Government Information, a 65-year-old individual from Colombo 14 died in a private hospital on 13 December. His death was reported the next day and the cause of death is cited as COVID pneumonia.

A 73-year-old individual from Bandaragama died on 11 December and her death was reported two days later. The cause of death is cited as a heart attack induced by high blood pressure with COVID-19.
