The Sri Lanka Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) last night welcomed the resumption of tourism via the new pilot project.

“SLAITO is delighted to note that the Government is opening Sri Lanka for tourism. It’s a good move to have a pilot project following the bubble concept with health protocols,” it said in a statement.

“We are confident that hoteliers and DMC staff will endeavour to follow the health guidelines to make this pilot project a success. We are thankful to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Basil Rajapaksa, Prasanna Ranatunga, Pavithra Wanniarachchi, and the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival for their cooperation and encouragement,” SLAITO added in its statement.
