Turkish Airlines adds Khujand of Tajikistan as 277th destination

Turkish Airlines, ranked the ‘Best Airline in Europe’ for the fifth consecutive year, adds yet another city to its Far East network.

The second-largest city of Tajikistan and the capital of the northernmost province of this country, Khujand joined the network as the 34th destination served in the Far East. The roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Khujand will be operated two times per week on Mondays and Thursdays from Istanbul, and on Tuesdays, and Fridays from Khujand.

Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is a four-star airline today with a fleet of 289 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 277 destinations worldwide with 229 international and 48 domestic. According to Skytrax survey of 2015, Turkish Airlines was chosen ‘Europe’s Best Airline’ for the fifth and ‘Best Airline in Southern Europe’ for the seventh consecutive time.
