During the course of the day the Israeli Minister of Tourism Dr. Uzi Landau and IMTM officials visited the Sri Lanka stall during a tour of the exhibition. The Sri Lanka stall, which drew large crowds, was attractively designed under the theme “The Wonder of Asia” in order to highlight the diversity of the country. The International Mediterranean Tourism Mart (IMTM) is Israel’s largest professional tourism fair and is held every year. The Embassy’s participation this year was made possible due to the generous support of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. Traditional sweetmeats and Ceylon Tea were served to all visitors and Sri Lankan souvenirs were given as giveaways to the visitors who thronged to the stall.
