Mihin Lanka gets another aircraft

State-owned budget carrier Mihin Lanka added another plane to its fleet from yesterday with the delivery of an Airbus 320-200 aircraft on a lease basis from the Airbus Company of France. The plane arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake yesterday. It was flown from Clark International Airport in Philippines by the Mihin Lanka Chief Pilot and the technical staff who went to inspect the plane.

Mihin Lanka CEO Kapila Chandrasena took over the plane at the Katunayake Airport.

The budget carrier acquired another aircraft in the month of August.   

At present Mihin Lanka operates to eight destinations in the Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Southeast Asia in addition to providing connectivity to over 50 destinations via its partner SriLankan Airlines.The airline sources said that Mihin Lanka plans to expand its services to over 10 destinations within the upcoming months, including potential new services to Madurai, New Delhi and Kathmandu.
