Media crew from Turkey tours Sri Lanka

A 10 member media crew from Turkey, Istanbul, headed by Dr. Ali Genc, the Senior Vice President of Turkish Airlines (Europe’s Best Airline 2011/2012) arrived in Sri Lanka recently. The purpose of this visit was to market Sri Lanka in Turkey, Istanbul, which is a travel hub in Europe with access to over 219 other destinations, made possible by Turkish Airlines. This is an ongoing project in the Government’s efforts to market Sri Lanka as a tourist destination.

The media team was welcomed by Randolph Serpanchy, Executive Vice President Pership Holidays, Indika Jayawardena, acting Station Manager, Swantha Jayesingha, Head of Marketing Turkish Airlines Sri Lanka, and Kuraish Rahman, Head of Sales, Turkish Airlines Sri Lanka. The media team will be spending a few days travelling in Sri Lanka visiting key cultural sites and destinations.
