Hilton says business as usual at Colombo

Hilton Hotels and Resorts yesterday said it was continuing with normal business operations at its Colombo facility.

In a statement Hilton said it has a management agreement to operate Hilton Colombo on behalf of Hotel Developers (Lanka) Plc, since more than 20 years ago and this management agreement currently remains in place.

“We have been advised that the Sri Lankan Government has been noted as the new owners of the land and building of the Hotel. In due course Hilton representatives will meet the relevant parties to discuss the change in ownership and in the meantime, Hilton will continue to maintain normal business operations at the Hotel,” the statement added.
