The demand for business-class travel is expected to rise in 2011. A recent forecast by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has shown that Asian carriers are likely to exceed their global peers in terms of profit from premium travel.

Nicholas Ionides, vice president, public affairs, Singapore Airlines, was quoted in eTurboNews as having said that the demand had been picking up quite healthily across their network through this financial year. The increase in demand for premium travel is believed to be a result of the boost in corporate travel and improved economic conditions.
