The prestigious International Hotel Awards organisation honoured Amaya Resorts & Spas with two five star category awards at a ceremony held at the London Marriott Hotel at Grosvenor Square. Amaya Lake won a five star award in the category of Best Hotel Renovation/Refurbishment which was received by Srijith Gooneratne, the General Manager of the hotel. Asela Wavita collected a five star award for Hunas Falls by Amaya in the category of Best Sustainable Hotel for Sri Lanka in the Asia Pacific region.
