W15 Hanthana Estate has been selected for inclusion in 50 Best Discovery, the global travel and hospitality platform created by the organisation behind The World’s 50 Best Hotels, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, The World’s 50 Best Bars, and The World’s 50 Best Vineyards.

The 2026 edition of 50 Best Discovery features more than 3,500 outstanding hospitality establishments across 800+ cities and towns worldwide. Following its latest global refresh, the platform added more than 650 new venues, including over 210 restaurants, 110 bars, 130 hotels, and 190 vineyards, making it one of the world’s most comprehensive and respected expert-curated hospitality guides.

What makes this recognition particularly prestigious is that establishments cannot apply or nominate themselves for inclusion. Every venue is selected only after receiving a qualifying number of votes from the independent global academies comprising more than 3,000 hospitality experts, including travel journalists, hoteliers, chefs, restaurateurs, bartenders and seasoned travellers, who collectively determine The World’s 50 Best rankings.

The all-inclusive W15 Hanthana Estate in Sri Lanka’s tea country has a warm residential feel to it, with just 10 suites nestled into the lush Hanthana mountain range.
