The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Seychelles has announced the successful organisation of a familiarisation (FAM) trip to Sri Lanka for a delegation comprising Seychellois tour operators and Air Seychelles representatives.

The visit was primarily focused on showcasing Sri Lanka’s growing potential as a destination for medical and shopping tourism. Participants were given first-hand exposure to leading healthcare facilities, wellness services, and shopping experiences, highlighting Sri Lanka’s position as a competitive and attractive destination for specialised travel.

The program served to enhance awareness of Sri Lanka’s capabilities in these key sectors and to encourage the development of targeted travel packages for Seychellois visitors.

The High Commission in a statement extended its sincere appreciation to all partners who contributed to the success of this initiative, particularly Air Seychelles, Andrew Travel Ltd., and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, for their invaluable support, cooperation, and commitment.

This initiative is expected to further strengthen tourism linkages and encourage increased visitor flows from Seychelles to Sri Lanka, particularly in the areas of medical and shopping tourism, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Seychelles said, reaffirming its commitment to promoting Sri Lanka as a trusted and attractive destination for Seychellois travellers seeking quality healthcare and shopping experiences.
