The proceedings commenced with a welcome address delivered by Sri Lanka Convention Bureau Chairman Dheera Hettiarachchi. In his remarks, Hettiarachchi underscored the transformative potential of digital marketing in enhancing Sri Lanka’s global competitiveness as a premier destination for MICE tourism.

Distinguished speakers, Digital Marketing Association of Sri Lanka Vice President and SheLovesData Sri Lanka Chapter Lead Gayathri Seneviratne, and Digital Marketing Association of Sri Lanka Secretary and Roar AdX Client Success Meta Asp Vice President Udara Dharmasena led the technical sessions, providing in-depth perspectives and actionable insights on embedding digital marketing practices within the MICE framework.

Seneviratne and Dharmasena held the audience’s attention with an insightful exploration of the changing world of digital marketing and its crucial influence on the success of contemporary events. Their dynamic presentations and interactive dialogues provided attendees with valuable knowledge on using digital tools to boost event awareness, foster greater audience interaction and maximise overall effectiveness.

An interactive question-and-answer segment followed, during which participants engaged dynamically with the speakers. The event concluded with closing remarks by Sri Lanka Convention Bureau Manager Research, Development and Training Kumudu Hennedige.
