The SKAL Asia Congress 2025 was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 25 to 29 June, marking one of the most successful editions of the event with the highest number of participants.
Taj Samudra, Colombo had the distinct honour of serving as the host hotel, welcoming esteemed delegates from across the region.
The official opening ceremony of the Congress took place on 27 June at the Grand Marquee of Taj Samudra. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath.
Minister Herath was warmly welcomed by Taj Area Director for Maldives and Sri Lanka and the General Manager of Taj Samudra, Colombo Samrat Datta.
In attendance were several key figures from the SKAL community, including SKAL Asia President Keethi Jayaweera, SKAL Colombo President Ahintha Amarasinghe, Sri Lanka Tourism Chairman Buddhika Hewawasam, SKAL Asia Congress Director Shamali De Vaz and Bernard Wijetunge and SKAL Asia PR Head Dinushka Chandrasena.
The SKAL Asia Congress 2025 brought together tourism and hospitality leaders from across the region to celebrate fellowship, collaboration, and the future of sustainable tourism in Asia.
