Heritage Expediciones Ltd., recently embarked on a three-day familiarisation tour to Mahiyanganaya, selecting Keven Casa as their base. This journey was organised in collaboration with The Sri Lankan Experience Zone, a responsible tourism initiative based in Kundasale and led by Dushantha Karunarathna, a seasoned professional in the hospitality sector. The itinerary featured several standout moments, with the trek to Rathna Ella emerging as a clear highlight. Hidden deep within the forests of Mahiyanganaya in the Uva Province, Rathna Ella provided a breathtaking reward at the end of a scenic and serene hike. The team also enjoyed a cycle tour through Watawana village, which offered an intimate look at rural life, and the visit to Maduru Oya National Park added a touch of wildlife exploration to the overall experience, offering a different perspective on the region’s natural diversity. The visit concluded with a sunrise catamaran ride across Sorabora Lake, followed by a scenic breakfast atop Sorabora Rock, where the rising sun cast golden hues over the surrounding landscape.
