Classic Travel has once again secured top honours at the Malaysia Airlines Trade Elevation Summit 2026, winning the prestigious Golden WAU Award and continuing its consecutive run of recognition at the global industry event. The awards ceremony, took place on 14 May at Shangri-La in Kota Kinabalu, recognises outstanding global trade partners that continue to strengthen Malaysia Airlines’ international presence and performance.

The Malaysia Airlines Trade Elevation Summit (TES) has become one of the airline’s key global industry platforms, bringing together over 300 travel agents, and partners, from across multiple international markets. Organised in collaboration with the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MYCEB), the summit focuses on strengthening global partnerships, driving tourism growth, and positioning Malaysia as a strategic tourism and aviation hub.

Classic Travel’s latest recognition further reinforces its strong and long-standing partnership with Malaysia Airlines, while highlighting the company’s continued leadership and performance within the Sri Lankan travel industry. The award reflects consistent excellence in sales performance, customer engagement, and strategic collaboration with one of the world’s leading airlines.

Commenting on the achievement, Expolanka Leisure Cluster Director Sabry Bahaudeen said: “To continue being recognised over consecutive years at a global platform such as this is incredibly meaningful for us. It reflects the relentless focus our teams place on quality, customer service, and consistently delivering value to both our customers and partners. We are deeply grateful to Malaysia Airlines for this continued recognition and to our teams and stakeholders whose dedication and trust continue to drive our success year after year.”

Classic Travel’s continued recognition at the Malaysia Airlines Trade Elevation Summit highlights not only its exceptional performance as a travel partner, but also Sri Lanka’s growing contribution to regional travel and tourism.
