Classic Travel’s Sabry elected IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka President

Expolanka Holdings PLC Director, Leisure Cluster  Classic Travel Ltd Sabry Bahaudeen,  was elected  President of the IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka (IAASL) at the 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM). 

An old boy of Royal College, Colombo, Bahaudeen counts more than 25 years of experience in the travel trade. He is on the Committee of Management of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and currently sits on the governing board of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). 

The AGM was held on Thursday, 5 October 2023, at the Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom, Bangkok, Thailand with the participation of 106 IAASL accredited Agents. 

The IATA Agents Association of Sri Lanka, a Member of the ‘One Industry One Voice’ initiative taken among the travel and tourism industry, was formed in 1988 and is an affiliated Association of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, representing the interests of 129 of the Sri Lankan Travel Agencies accredited to the International Air Transport Association located throughout Sri Lanka.
