Ambeon Capital PLC has increased its stake in Ceylon Hotels Corporation PLC with the purchase of a 3.95% stake for about Rs. 260 million last week.
On 10 September it acquired a 3.95% stake involving seven million shares at Rs. 36.50 for Rs. 255.5 million, and another 114,574 shares ranging from Rs. 35.90 and Rs. 36.50.
On 21 August, Ambeon had acquired a 6.84% stake in the company at Rs. 26 per share for Rs. 320 million. It now holds a 10.79% stake in Ceylon Hotels.
Ceylon Hotels operates well-known heritage properties, luxury boutique hotels, resorts and local guesthouses in Sri Lanka, including the iconic Queens Hotel in Kandy.
The company reported a net assets per share of Rs. 42.66 in the June 2025 quarter.
