St. Regis Packaging representatives at Presidential Environment Awards 2025 at BMICH
St. Regis Packaging Ltd., has received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability at the Presidential Environment Awards 2025, held on 23 October 2025 at the BMICH, under the patronage of the President of Sri Lanka Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The prestigious ceremony was attended by Environment Minister Dr. Dhammika Patabendi, Industries and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunneththi, and senior officials from the Central Environmental Authority and Climate Fund Sri Lanka.
This recognition celebrates St. Regis’ pioneering achievement in introducing the world’s first Carbon Zero bulk tea package—a ground-breaking sustainable packaging solution that replaces traditional tea sacks and rigid sacks with eco-friendly, carbon-neutral paper sacks.
St. Regis Packaging Head of Sales and Marketing Kushani Daluwatte said: “We are honoured to be recognised for our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Our Zero Carbon Sacks reflect Sri Lanka’s potential to lead globally in low-carbon, eco-friendly manufacturing.”
