  • Executive leaders to convene on climate resilience, risk and competitiveness

As climate-related risks increasingly reshape markets, supply chains, investment decisions and business continuity planning, Sri Lankan business leaders are being called upon to rethink resilience as a strategic leadership priority.

In response to this growing imperative, Genesis – the Dilmah Centre for a Sustainable Future, in partnership with The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will host “Climate-Proofing Business Sri Lanka: An Executive Leadership Dialogue on Resilience, Risk and Competitiveness” on 10 June 2026 at Genesis, Colombo.

Bringing together CEOs, senior corporate leaders, policymakers and sustainability practitioners, the high-level forum will examine how businesses can strengthen resilience, navigate emerging climate risks and position themselves for long-term competitiveness in an increasingly climate-conscious global economy.

The dialogue builds on the momentum and outcomes of the Sri Lanka Climate Summit 2026 and will provide a focused platform for advancing practical climate resilience and business continuity strategies across sectors.

The program will feature a keynote address by internationally recognised climate lawyer and governance specialist Dr. Lalanath de Silva, alongside perspectives from Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC Chairman Dilhan C. Fernando; Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Secretary General and CEO Shiran Fernando; climate risk specialist Rohan Cooray; and Aitken Spence PLC Chief Sustainability Officer Yasangi Randeni.

A central feature of the forum will be an executive dialogue exploring governance, risk management, supply chain resilience and strategic opportunities through the lens of a practical Net Zero Board Checklist and a Sri Lankan export manufacturing case study.

More than a discussion on climate change, the event is designed as a strategic business forum for leaders seeking to future-proof their organisations, strengthen stakeholder confidence and unlock opportunities for innovation and sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving operating environment.

Attendance is complimentary and reserved exclusively for CEOs, senior executives and corporate decision-makers. Advance registration is required as seating is limited. Pls register via link https://cloud.sf.dilmahtea.com/ClimateProofing
