Tennis: Tamil Union Open Ranking tournament

The Tamil Union Open Ranking Tennis Tournament 2014 was held from 17 to 27 February at the P. Sara Oval courts in Colombo. Eight different categories were played at the tournament which is a Grade ‘C’ competition approved by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association. Events for Under-10 Singles, Under-12 Singles, Under-14 Singles and Under-14 Doubles were held in Boy’s and Girl’s segments. The above tournament concluded last week – 27.02.2014. Tarah Greig and Sethara Ambawatte were the Under 14 doubles Champions – they beat Anika Seneviratne and Alana Seneviratne in the finals held at the Oval.
