Sudesh wins silver in weightlifting at Commonwealth Games

Sri Lanka’s Sudesh Peiris won silver in the men’s 62kg weightlifting category at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Friday. Cyprus’ Dimitris Minasidis won the gold snatching 125kg and clean and jerk 151kg for a total of 276kg while Peiris won silver with 273kg (123+150) and Vaipana Ioane of Samoa won bronze with 271kg (115+156).
