Stallions conduct U-14 seven-a-side tournament in Sabaragamuwa

Imbulana Maha Vidyalaya and Pallekanugala Maha Vidyalaya respectively won the boys and girls under-14 Sabaragamuwa Schools Rugby Tournament that was conducted at Ruwanwella Public Grounds on 2 April 2014.

Organised by Sabaragamuwa Stallions, the tournament witnessed 32 girls and boys teams participate in tournaments played in the under-12 category in addition to the under-14 and also included teams representing schools from the Kegalle District. All the matches were refereed by Sabaragamuwa referees. The boys team played seven-a-side whilst girls team played 10-a-side. This is the 3rd tournament organised by Sabaragamuwa Stallions with the collaboration of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Union conducted this year. Champion: Pallekanugala KV ‘A’ Runners-up: Dehiowita NC U-12 Girls Champion: Pallekanugala KV Runners up: St. Mary’s College, Yatiyanthota Sabaragamuwa Stallions is directed by NSports which is a national franchise of Sri Lanka’s elite Rugby 7s competition, the Carlton Rugby 7s.
