Sri Lanka Women’s Captain Shashikala to play for Rest of the World at Lord’s

Sri Lanka Cricket announced yesterday that Captain of the National Women’s team Sha-shikala Siriwardene has been selected to represent the Rest of the World who will play against the Marylebone Cricket Club at Lord’s main ground. There has never been an M.C.C. Women vs. Rest of the World Women match at Lord’s, neither has a Rest of the World women’s team ever taken the field anywhere in the World. The match which will be played on 19 May 2014 will be a unique occasion. This match is in celebration of the bicentenary of the present Ground. Shashikala Siriwardene has been selected by MCC in association with the ICC Women’s Committee.
