SLIMPICS 2014, ready to kick off

SLIM is set to launch another milestone event for their stakeholders apart from their annual flagship events

“SLIMPICS 2014” is an event that is totally dedicated for marketers to test their sports skills and event will kick off on Sunday 9 March, from 8 a.m. onwards at Wesley ground Colombo. The event was initiated by the management of SLIM and organised by the SLIM membership division to make a memorable day out for more than 1,000 students and members who will gather to take part in this event. There has been a lot of events lined up for students and it comprises sports events such as athletics, cricket, rugby and entertainment acts such as “Mr. Handsome”, “Ms. Pretty”, a papare band, DJ and live band among other fun activities. “Team building and networking are one of the key aspects of the modern business context. So, this event will lay the platform for students to work as teams and network with fellow stakeholders. Hence, they could apply what they have learned in the class room into their practical life. SLIM as the national governing body of marketing fraternity in Sri Lanka, we look forward to organising more events for marketers in future too,” said project chair Charitha Jayasingha.
