The Sri Lanka Cricket Executive Committee approved the move following the recommendation made by Chairman Cricket Committee, Chairman Selection Committee and Head of Coaching.
The Executive Committee at its meeting yesterday also approved the appointment of Marvan Atapattu as the Head Coach of the National Cricket team and Ruwan Kalpage as the Interim Assistant Coach. These appointments are in effect immediately till the conclusion of South Africa’s tour to Sri Lanka this year.
