SLC grants commercial rights for Indian tour to Sony Six

Sri Lanka Cricket has awarded the commercial rights of the upcoming Indian Test Tour to MSM India, the owner of the popular Asian Sports Channel Sony Six.

MSM was granted global TV broadcast rights along with radio, internet and mobile rights for the territory outside Sri Lanka. MSM were also awarded the sponsorship rights for the Indian Test tour.

The granting of rights to MSM was decided after SLC cancelled the initial tender process sighting the low value offered by the single bidder. MSM offered a substantially higher figure to the satisfaction of SLC.
