Serena Williams stars in a racy new ad

A sexually suggestive advertisement for a tennis video game starring champion Serena Willams has been leaked online.

Williams' almost bare bottom kicks off the racy commercial which contains generous shots of cleavage, fishnet stockings and a soundtrack of grunts and moans.

Showing very little match footage or features of the actual game, the ad instead opts to pit the 'world's sexiest tennis player' against Serena Williams in a virtual match.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Kay de Bry, president of the Women In Sport Foundation was supportive of Williams' latest commercial endeavour.

“She didn't have to do this to get attention,” de Bry said.

“She played good tennis and that's where she got all the attention and she's just having a bit of fun, I'd say.”

In an official statement from video game publisher 2K Sports the company distanced themselves from the ad.

“As part of the process for creating marketing campaigns to support our titles, we pursue a variety of creative avenues. This video is not part of the title’s final marketing campaign and its distribution was unauthorized,” they said
