MillenniumIT wins Dulux Badminton Championships

MillenniumIT, a leading technology solutions provider, yesterday proudly announced that its badminton team had emerged winners at the third Dulux MBA Inter-Firm Team Doubles Badminton Championships 2013 – Bowl category. The Championships which were held recently saw 42 companies compete under four categories, of which the MillenniumIT team emerged champions of the Bowl Cup. The players were on an unbeaten winning streak even in the qualifying rounds and entered in to the finals where they faced Virtusa, beating their competition, conclusively 3-0. Captain of the MillenniumIT Badminton Team Dharshin de Silva said: “I am very happy that our team won the Bowl Cup at this year’s Dulux MBA Inter-Firm Team Doubles Badminton Championships. This is the first time our team has participated at this tournament so it is a huge win for us. It is a team achievement we can all be proud of.” This is the second significant win for the MillenniumIT badminton team whose women’s team won the championship trophy at the Mercantile ‘E’ Division badminton tournament held late last year.
