Mercantile volleyball tournament in August

Mercantile volleyball teams have two weeks to register themselves for this year’s tournament scheduled for next month. Applications close on 31 July. The first round matches will be played on 16 and 17 August 2014 at the National Youth Centre ground at Maharagama. The tournament is held in three categories – Super League, Championship and Division A. Attractive prizes are on offer as follows: Men Super League Champions - Rs. 150,000 and Trophy; Women Super League Champions - Rs. 100,000 and Trophy; Championship Men Champions -Rs. 100,000 and Trophy; Women Champions – Rs. 80,000 and Trophy The Man of the Final will receive a Bajaj motor cycle (Men Super League Champions).
