Kanrich Finance acquired an unparalleled victory by bagging the Division D Championship at the 2015 Mercantile Basketball Championship, held recently at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
At the Division D Mercantile Basketball Championship, Kanrich Finance Team in their first encounter defeated the Sri Lankan Airlines Team. Their second encounter was with the LOLC Team. In the third round they have defeated the Seylan Bank Team. Meeting the MAS Holdings Team next, the Kanrich Finance Team beaten them, and entered the Semi-Finals.
At the finals the Kanrich Finance Team beat the Seylan Bank Team.
Kanrich Finance Team was coached by Tuan Amar.
The KFL basketball team consisted of Deputy General Manager Pradeep Basnayaka, Dilan Kosgahakumbura, Shanaka Perera, Thanushka De Alwis Malan Chamira, Shehan Dias, Mevan Perera, Aravinda Silva, Mihiraj Rajapaksha, Kanishka Wijesinghe, Bringsley Perera, Sajith Gunawardhana, Harsha Perera and Sampath Meegahawatta.
Dilan Kosgahakumbura became the highest scorer in the final encounter with Seylan Bank.
