Injured Dilshan out of first four-dayer

A finger strain will keep Tillakaratne Dilshan out of the first match in Sri Lanka’s first-class tri-series, which begins on Tuesday. Dilshan’s omission is understood to be a precautionary measure, and he is expected to be fit to play the Board XI’s second match of the tournament, which begins on October 21.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Kaushal Silva has been moved from the Sri Lanka A team and into the Board XI for Tuesday’s match, after his highly successful run in first-class cricket. Fast bowler Kanishka Alvitigala, has in turn, been shuffled from the development squad to the A team and Kasun Madushanka brought into the development squad to replace him.
