Hatton National Bank completed a double this season when they overcame their arch-rivals Commercial Bank by two goals to one in their Mercantile “A” division knockout hockey tournament worked off at the Astro Turf, Reid Avenue, Colombo on last Sunday.
The two winning goals were secured by Damith Bandara and Upul both of whom are current National players. In the semi finals, HNB beat Sampath Bank by five goals to one. The two-day event was conducted by the Mercantile Hockey Association of Sri Lanka.
Earlier, HNB emerged joint champions with rivals Commercial Bank in the mercantile League Hockey Tournament.
