Hilton Colombo Residencies Fun Run on 14 September

Celebrating wellness and good health, Hilton Colombo Residences will join hands with KISS FM to stage the 9th Fun Run on 14 September at 7.00 a.m. The event is open to the public with event categories and cash rewards to be won. Applications are available at the sports centre and main reception of Hilton Colombo Residences for Rs. 500 per applicant which will entitle them to a T-shirt for the event.

The events for the day will include a six-kilometre open run for men and women and another three-kilometre run for Under-15 boys and girls. The six-kilometre route for adults will commence at Hilton Colombo Residences at Staple Street, proceed through Union Place, Rifle Street, Malay Street, Sir Chittamplam A. Gardiner Mawatha, T. B. Jayah Mawatha, Union Place and head back to the hotel. The Under-15 age group’s three-kilometre route will turn off from Malay Street proceed to the Slave Island police station then through Kumaran Rathnam Mawatha and head back to the hotel through Union Place. Speaking about the event, General Manager Karim Schadlou commented that as much as the hotel promotes its dining offers, it is also important to promote good health. “It will be an exciting event giving opportunity to children and adults to compete in a have fun at the same time. We are enthusiastic about our partnership with KISS FM and other sponsors who will be a part of Fun Run 2014,” he said. Refreshments will also be offered to participants after the event.
