Hayleys Pasan, David Pieris Motor’s Chamilka in MCA Centenary Snooker finals

Pasan Periyapperuma from Hayleys Group and Chamilka Ambagahawatte from David Pieris Motor Co. entered the Final of the MCA “Centenary Year” 2011 Snooker Championships, continued at the MCA table yesterday.

Periyapperuma and Ambagahawatte had to fight their way into the final, both being stretched to 3-setters in their semi-finals.

In the top half semi-final, Periyapperuma lost the first set to Mabroc Teas, Roshan Iddamalgoda (47/88), but fought tooth and nail to win the next two sets. (80/23, 68/47).

In the bottom half semi-final, the story was similar , Ambagahawatte losing the first set (57/64) but clawing back to win the next two sets (63/34, 45/43)
