CIS Central Province under 19 basketball champions

By Shamseer Jaleel Colombo International School Kandy branch became the Central province basketball champions when they outclassed Azar College Akurana in the final by 69-37. The tournament was organised by the Education Department of the Central Province and played at the St. Anthony’s Girls College Courts. At the short breather the winners led 40-20. Skipper Umair Naleer, Veen Karunaratne, Salik Hamjad, Azan Manzil and Kiran Karaliyadde were outstanding in the grand-final. CIS beat Kingswood in the semi-final 61-48 while Azar College Akurana defeated St. Anthony’s College Katugastota 75-21 in the other semi final battle.
