Wesley College maintained their unbeaten streak in the Dialog Schools Under-19 Rugby League 2025 with a dominant 24/3 victory over St. Anthony’s College at the Nittawela Ground last weekend.
Wesley completely dominated and never looked in danger.
Displaying structured and disciplined rugby, Wesley ran in four tries and converted two, showing their strength across both halves. Their forwards laid a solid foundation, while the backline capitalised on openings with precision. The Antonians struggled to break through Wesley’s tight defence and managed only a solitary penalty to get on the scoreboard.
This win marks Wesley’s third consecutive victory in the League, further solidifying their position as one of the title contenders this season. With momentum firmly on their side, the lads from Campbell Park will be eager to carry this form into the upcoming fixtures.
St. Anthony’s, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly as they look to bounce back in their next encounter. They lost all three games played at home to DS, St. Peter’s, and Wesley. (SJ)
