Sanjana Kavindi top scored for Sri Lanka Under-19 Women with 25
In a rain affected match reduced to nine overs a side, Sri Lanka beat Australia by 9 runs (DLS method) in the fourth Under-19 women’s T20I series to take a 4-0 lead in the five-match series at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Batting first Sri Lanka scored 83-6 with opener Sanjana Kavindi making a top score of 25 off 16 balls (5 fours). Australia chasing a revised target of 65 off 6.3 overs finished on 55-4 when rain ended the match leaving Sri Lanka winners on the DLS method.
Australia will play a one-off 50-over ODI on Sunday at the same venue.
