Under 14 Rugby Tens to lighten Central Province

The All Island Under-14 Ten-a-Side Rugby Tournament will bring together Sri Lanka’s finest junior rugby talent for a two-day battle on 21 and 22 August in the Central Hills.

This year’s event will feature 32 teams representing schools from across the island, with the young players competing for junior supremacy.

Day One will see Groups A to D in action at the Trinity College Rugby Ground, Pallekelle, while Groups E to H will compete at the Digana Public Ground. The tournament will move to the Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekelle on the second day, where the knockout stages will be worked off.

Zahira College, the defending champions, will enter the tournament with confidence after edging Wesley College 5-0 in last year’s final. They will face a strong challenge from several leading rugby schools hoping to make their mark at junior level.

Group C: Royal, Ananda, Maliyadeva, Panadura Sumangala
Group D: Trinity, Kingswood, St Sylvester’s, St Aloysius

Group F: Isipathana, Mahanama, Prince of Wales, Sri Piyarathne
Group G: St Peter’s, Thurstan, Vidyartha, Dharmapala
Group H: Wesley, St Anthony’s, Lumbini, Sri Rahula
